Gilley's Shield Draw (Rounds 1 & 2)

Softball Australia is pleased to release the draw for the first and second rounds of the 2008/09 Gilley's Shield.
The first round of the 2008/09 Gilley's Shield will be held at Downey Park in Queensland, from 14-16 November, whilst the second round will be held at Hawker in the ACT from 12-14 December.
The first match of the 2008/09 season will be played between the Firestars (NSW) and the Titans (Vic) at 10.00am on Friday, 14 November. The rematch of last year's two grand final teams, the Firestars (NSW) and the home team, the Heatwave (Qld), will be played on the Saturday night (15 November) at 7.00pm.
This season will feature six teams, the Diamonds (from ACT), the Firestars (from NSW), the Flames (from WA), the Heatwave (from Qld), the Starz (from SA) and the Titans (from Vic).
The third round of the series will be played at Waverley in Victoria, from 16-18 January, whilst the fourth round and the finals will be played at Blacktown in NSW, from 17-21 February. The draw for the final two rounds will be released later in the season.
