Q. Tell us a little about your business and how you started

A. Australian Football Players was created in July 2007 and is Australia’s first website devoted to promoting young, talented, Australian Football (soccer) Players to football clubs and player agents in Australia and around the world. We created Australian Football Players to show case to Australian’s and the World the abundance of talent right here in Australia and to offer our players the opportunity to Be Seen, Be Discovered.™

Q. What type of people use your services?

A. We have players aged from 12 years to 28 years registering their Player Profiles for their chance to secure trials and contracts. We also have Australian based football clubs and European clubs requesting Player Profiles for recruitment purposes.

Q. What are the key advantages of using your services?

A. The key advantage in using our service is exposure. Talented players need to be exposed to those in positions to assist the players take the next step. These decision makers are club officials, scouts and player agents.

Q. What are the biggest issues you are currently facing?

A. Our biggest issue is not getting the clubs to visit the site, nor to request Player Profiles. It’s the shortage of players willing to register and benefit from our service.

Q. Where do you see the business heading in the future?

A. Our business will continue to grow and our work will never stop. The future looks bright for both players and clubs as Australia becomes more dominant in football.

Q. What is your background, and your most important values or philosophies?

A. Coming from a business background and an absolute love of football, and having coached, makes it vital that we operate in a transparent manner and always conduct ourselves in a professional manner. Honesty is of utmost importance to us as we build lasting relationships with football clubs, player agents and players.

We are here for the players. We do not benefit financially from placing players with clubs or agents. Recent success includes Irish International Barry Moran who was signed by Redlands City Devils in the QLD State League, Chris Hayton who was signed by FIFA Player Agent Chris Hanna and many players having their Player Profiles submitted to some of the biggest football clubs in the world.
